02 Web design in Etobicoke

Websites as good as your storefront.

Etobicoke is Toronto’s western district, stretching from the Lake Ontario shoreline to the city’s north-west edge. Its businesses are as varied as its neighbourhoods: shops, restaurants and studios along Lake Shore Boulevard in Mimico, New Toronto and Long Branch and around Islington Village and the Kingsway; trades and professional firms throughout; and industrial and logistics companies along Highway 427 and towards Pearson Airport.

Each needs something different from a website. A storefront or restaurant needs to be found when people nearby search, and to make ordering, booking or visiting effortless on a phone. A contractor or professional firm needs to earn trust before the first call. An industrial company needs to explain its capabilities clearly to buyers comparing suppliers. In every case the site has to be built for search from the start — structure, speed and content, not an add-on later.

Whatever the business, the foundations are the same: a fast site that works on every screen, built to WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility — Ontario’s AODA website requirements apply to organisations with 50 or more employees — with clear structure and structured data so search engines understand what you do and where you work. Our guide to local SEO and Google Maps explains how your website and Google Business Profile work together.

  7. 07

    Evolve

Measure, learn and refine. Good digital products are never finished — they get sharper.

06 FAQ

Web design Etobicoke: questions, answered.

01Do you work with businesses in Etobicoke?

Yes. Etobicoke is part of Toronto, where our studio is based, and we work with organisations across the city and the GTA — as well as clients further afield.

02Can our website take bookings or online orders?

Yes. Depending on the business, that can be online booking connected to your calendar or booking system, ordering for pickup or delivery, or a full online store on WooCommerce. We recommend the option that fits how you work today.

03Does my Etobicoke business need an accessible website?

Under Ontario’s AODA, businesses and non-profits with 50 or more employees must make their public websites meet WCAG 2.0 Level AA, with two exceptions (live captions and pre-recorded audio description). Smaller organisations aren’t covered by that rule, but an accessible site reaches more customers and is easier for everyone to use. We design and build to WCAG 2.2 AA as a baseline.

04Can we redesign our website without losing our search rankings?

Yes, if the move is planned. A redesign should keep what search engines already value: every existing URL mapped to its new page with a 301 redirect, titles, descriptions and structured data carried over, and Search Console checked after launch for errors.

05Will a new website help my business show up in Etobicoke searches?

It is one part of it. Google ranks local results on relevance, distance and prominence, so your Google Business Profile, your reviews and your website all contribute. A fast site with clear service pages, accurate contact details and structured data gives the rest a strong foundation.
