02 Web design in Oakville
Websites with the polish Oakville expects.
Oakville, in Halton Region, has a population of nearly 214,000 (2021 Census) and is home to Ford of Canada’s head office, among other corporate headquarters. Alongside them is a large community of professional firms — finance, law, real estate and healthcare — and independent shops, restaurants and studios in Downtown Oakville, Kerr Village and Bronte Village.
It is a market where presentation matters. Customers compare carefully and expect a business’s website to look and work as well as its premises. For a boutique or independent retailer, that means an online store with strong photography, fast pages and a simple checkout. For a professional firm, it means a brand and website that communicate quality at a glance and make it easy to get in touch.
Whatever the business, the foundations are the same: a fast site that works on every screen, built to WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility — Ontario’s AODA website requirements apply to organisations with 50 or more employees — with clear structure and structured data so search engines understand what you do and where you work. Our guide to local SEO and Google Maps explains how your website and Google Business Profile work together.

06 FAQ
Web design Oakville: questions, answered.
01Do you work with businesses in Oakville?
Yes. PerfectPixels is a Toronto design and technology studio, and we work with organisations across the GTA — including Oakville and the rest of Halton Region — as well as clients further afield.
02Does my Oakville business need an accessible website?
Under Ontario’s AODA, businesses and non-profits with 50 or more employees must make their public websites meet WCAG 2.0 Level AA, with two exceptions (live captions and pre-recorded audio description). Smaller organisations aren’t covered by that rule, but an accessible site reaches more customers and is easier for everyone to use. We design and build to WCAG 2.2 AA as a baseline.
03Can you build an online store for our boutique?
Yes. Our core commerce platform is WooCommerce, which we design around your products and extend when off-the-shelf plugins fall short — product presentation, filtering, checkout, shipping and pickup rules, and connections to your inventory or point-of-sale system.
04Can we redesign our website without losing our search rankings?
Yes, if the move is planned. A redesign should keep what search engines already value: every existing URL mapped to its new page with a 301 redirect, titles, descriptions and structured data carried over, and Search Console checked after launch for errors.
05Will a new website help my business show up in Oakville searches?
It is one part of it. Google ranks local results on relevance, distance and prominence, so your Google Business Profile, your reviews and your website all contribute. A fast site with clear service pages, accurate contact details and structured data gives the rest a strong foundation.
