02 Web design in Scarborough

Websites for every Scarborough audience.

Scarborough is Toronto’s eastern district and one of the most culturally diverse communities in the country — from the Scarborough Bluffs and Rouge National Urban Park to Scarborough Town Centre, the University of Toronto Scarborough and Centennial College. Its business community includes industrial and logistics firms along Highway 401, professional practices and healthcare providers, and one of the city’s best-known food and retail scenes.

For many Scarborough businesses, customers come from many backgrounds and arrive on a phone. A website has to communicate clearly with all of them: plain language, a structure ready for more than one language where that helps, fast pages on mobile connections, and accessibility built in, so everyone can find what they need and get in touch.

Whatever the business, the foundations are the same: a fast site that works on every screen, built to WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility — Ontario’s AODA website requirements apply to organisations with 50 or more employees — with clear structure and structured data so search engines understand what you do and where you work. Our guide to local SEO and Google Maps explains how your website and Google Business Profile work together.

How ideas become precise.

Seven steps, one team. Ambiguity is removed at every stage — nothing is left to chance at launch.

    Discover

We listen, audit and research until we understand the business, the people it serves and the real problem to solve.

  2. 02

Browsers, devices, keyboards, screen readers, slow networks. We look for problems so your customers don’t find them.

  6. 06

    Launch

Redirects, analytics, monitoring and a calm, rehearsed release.

  7. 07

    Evolve

Measure, learn and refine. Good digital products are never finished — they get sharper.

06 FAQ

Web design Scarborough: questions, answered.

01Do you work with businesses in Scarborough?

Yes. Scarborough is part of Toronto, where our studio is based, and we work with organisations across the city and the GTA — as well as clients further afield.

02Can our website take online orders?

Yes. Depending on the business, that can be ordering for pickup or delivery, online booking connected to your calendar, or a full online store on WooCommerce. We recommend the option that fits how you work today.

03Does my Scarborough business need an accessible website?

Under Ontario’s AODA, businesses and non-profits with 50 or more employees must make their public websites meet WCAG 2.0 Level AA, with two exceptions (live captions and pre-recorded audio description). Smaller organisations aren’t covered by that rule, but an accessible site reaches more customers and is easier for everyone to use. We design and build to WCAG 2.2 AA as a baseline.

04Can we redesign our website without losing our search rankings?

Yes, if the move is planned. A redesign should keep what search engines already value: every existing URL mapped to its new page with a 301 redirect, titles, descriptions and structured data carried over, and Search Console checked after launch for errors.

05Will a new website help my business show up in Scarborough searches?

It is one part of it. Google ranks local results on relevance, distance and prominence, so your Google Business Profile, your reviews and your website all contribute. A fast site with clear service pages, accurate contact details and structured data gives the rest a strong foundation.
