02 Web design in Simcoe County

Websites for Simcoe County, all year round.

Simcoe County stretches from the Holland Marsh to Georgian Bay, and is home to more than half a million people (2021 Census) including the cities of Barrie and Orillia. Its economy mixes manufacturing — the Honda plant in Alliston among the largest — with agriculture, healthcare and education in Barrie, a growing base of commuters along Highway 400 and the GO line, and four-season tourism around Lake Simcoe, Wasaga Beach and Collingwood.

That variety shapes what a Simcoe County website has to do. A resort, marina, restaurant or outfitter needs to show what is open this season and take bookings from visitors comparing options on a phone. A manufacturer or trade business needs to explain its capabilities and generate quote requests. A clinic or professional practice needs to earn trust and make booking easy for a fast-growing local population.

Whatever the business, the foundations are the same: a fast site that works on every screen, built to WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility — Ontario’s AODA website requirements apply to organisations with 50 or more employees — with clear structure and structured data so search engines understand what you do and where you work. Our guide to local SEO and Google Maps explains how your website and Google Business Profile work together.

06 FAQ

Web design Simcoe County: questions, answered.

01Do you work with businesses in Simcoe County?

Yes. PerfectPixels is a Toronto design and technology studio, and we work with organisations across the GTA and Simcoe County — including Barrie, Orillia and the surrounding towns — as well as clients further afield.

02Can our website handle seasonal bookings?

Yes. Depending on the business, that can be online booking connected to your calendar or reservation system, seasonal packages and availability, or a full online store on WooCommerce — with pages your team can update as the season changes.

03Does my Simcoe County business need an accessible website?

Under Ontario’s AODA, businesses and non-profits with 50 or more employees must make their public websites meet WCAG 2.0 Level AA, with two exceptions (live captions and pre-recorded audio description). Smaller organisations aren’t covered by that rule, but an accessible site reaches more customers and is easier for everyone to use. We design and build to WCAG 2.2 AA as a baseline.

04Can we redesign our website without losing our search rankings?

Yes, if the move is planned. A redesign should keep what search engines already value: every existing URL mapped to its new page with a 301 redirect, titles, descriptions and structured data carried over, and Search Console checked after launch for errors.

05Will a new website help my business show up in Simcoe County searches?

It is one part of it. Google ranks local results on relevance, distance and prominence, so your Google Business Profile, your reviews and your website all contribute. A fast site with clear service pages, accurate contact details and structured data gives the rest a strong foundation.
