01Do you work with businesses in Markham?
Yes. PerfectPixels is a Toronto design and technology studio, and we work with organisations across the GTA — including Markham and the rest of York Region — as well as clients further afield.
02Does my Markham business need an accessible website?
Under Ontario’s AODA, businesses and non-profits with 50 or more employees must make their public websites meet WCAG 2.0 Level AA, with two exceptions (live captions and pre-recorded audio description). Smaller organisations aren’t covered by that rule, but an accessible site reaches more customers and is easier for everyone to use. We design and build to WCAG 2.2 AA as a baseline.
03Should a technology company use WordPress or a custom build?
It depends on who updates the site and what it connects to. Custom WordPress suits marketing teams that publish often; a headless or fully custom build suits sites that are part of the product, need complex integrations or must handle unusual scale. Many companies use both: WordPress for the marketing site, with custom applications behind it.
04Can we redesign our website without losing our search rankings?
Yes, if the move is planned. A redesign should keep what search engines already value: every existing URL mapped to its new page with a 301 redirect, titles, descriptions and structured data carried over, and Search Console checked after launch for errors.
05Will a new website help my business show up in Markham searches?
It is one part of it. Google ranks local results on relevance, distance and prominence, so your Google Business Profile, your reviews and your website all contribute. A fast site with clear service pages, accurate contact details and structured data gives the rest a strong foundation.
