02 Web design in Mississauga

Custom WordPress for Mississauga businesses.

Mississauga is Canada’s seventh-largest city, with more than 717,000 residents (2021 Census). It is home to Toronto Pearson Airport and to the Canadian head offices of many national and global companies, with life sciences, advanced manufacturing, logistics and financial services concentrated around the airport, Meadowvale and the city centre — and independent shops and restaurants in Port Credit and Streetsville.

Many of those organisations already run on WordPress, or are choosing it, because their marketing teams need to publish without waiting for a developer. The difference is how it is built. A theme bought off the shelf brings a shared design and code you don’t need; custom WordPress is designed around your content and brand, with blocks your team can use safely, integrations with the CRM or ERP behind the business, and only the code the site actually needs — which keeps it fast, secure and easier to maintain. Our guide to WordPress vs custom development explains when each makes sense.

Whatever the business, the foundations are the same: a fast site that works on every screen, built to WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility — Ontario’s AODA website requirements apply to organisations with 50 or more employees — with clear structure and structured data so search engines understand what you do and where you work. Our guide to local SEO and Google Maps explains how your website and Google Business Profile work together.

Process

How ideas become precise.

Seven steps, one team. Ambiguity is removed at every stage — nothing is left to chance at launch.

  1. 01

    Discover

We listen, audit and research until we understand the business, the people it serves and the real problem to solve.

  2. 02

    Define

Goals, audiences, scope and success measures are written down. Ambiguity becomes a brief everyone can sign.

  3. 03

    Design

Concepts, systems and prototypes. Ideas are tested on real content and real devices — early.

  4. 04

    Build

Engineering from a component system, with performance and accessibility budgets checked on every change.

  5. 05

    Test

Browsers, devices, keyboards, screen readers, slow networks. We look for problems so your customers don’t find them.

  6. 06

    Launch

Redirects, analytics, monitoring and a calm, rehearsed release.

  7. 07

    Evolve

Measure, learn and refine. Good digital products are never finished — they get sharper.

06 FAQ

Web design Mississauga: questions, answered.

01Do you work with businesses in Mississauga?

Yes. PerfectPixels is a Toronto design and technology studio, and we work with organisations across the GTA — including Mississauga and the rest of Peel Region — as well as clients further afield.

02What is the difference between a custom WordPress site and a theme?

A theme is a ready-made design shared with many other sites, usually with far more code and options than you need. A custom WordPress site is designed for your business and built with only the templates and blocks it uses, so it is faster, easier for your team to edit safely, and simpler to keep secure and up to date.

03Can WordPress connect to our CRM, ERP or other systems?

Usually, yes. Many systems have established WordPress integrations; where they don’t, a custom plugin can connect to the system’s API to pass leads, orders, inventory or customer data between them. We recommend the approach after looking at the systems and how your team uses them.

04Does my Mississauga business need an accessible website?

Under Ontario’s AODA, businesses and non-profits with 50 or more employees must make their public websites meet WCAG 2.0 Level AA, with two exceptions (live captions and pre-recorded audio description). Smaller organisations aren’t covered by that rule, but an accessible site reaches more customers and is easier for everyone to use. We design and build to WCAG 2.2 AA as a baseline.

05Can we move our site to WordPress without losing our search rankings?

Yes, if the move is planned. A redesign should keep what search engines already value: every existing URL mapped to its new page with a 301 redirect, titles, descriptions and structured data carried over, and Search Console checked after launch for errors.
