02 Web design in Richmond Hill

Clear, trusted websites for Richmond Hill.

Richmond Hill has just over 202,000 residents (2021 Census) and sits at the centre of York Region, where Yonge Street meets Highways 404 and 407. Its business community leans towards professional services, healthcare, technology and retail — with offices clustered along the highway corridors, and shops and restaurants along Yonge.

Many of those businesses sell expertise: a dental or physiotherapy clinic, a law or accounting firm, an engineering consultancy. Their websites have to establish credibility in seconds, answer the questions clients ask before they call, and make booking straightforward. Technology firms need the same clarity for a more complex product.

Whatever the business, the foundations are the same: a fast site that works on every screen, built to WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility — Ontario’s AODA website requirements apply to organisations with 50 or more employees — with clear structure and structured data so search engines understand what you do and where you work. If your customers use more than one language, plan the site’s structure for it from the start. Our guide to local SEO and Google Maps explains how your website and Google Business Profile work together.

    Test

Browsers, devices, keyboards, screen readers, slow networks. We look for problems so your customers don’t find them.

  6. 06

    Launch

Redirects, analytics, monitoring and a calm, rehearsed release.

  7. 07

    Evolve

Measure, learn and refine. Good digital products are never finished — they get sharper.

06 FAQ

Web design Richmond Hill: questions, answered.

01Do you work with businesses in Richmond Hill?

Yes. PerfectPixels is a Toronto design and technology studio, and we work with organisations across the GTA — including Richmond Hill and the rest of York Region — as well as clients further afield.

02Does my Richmond Hill business need an accessible website?

Under Ontario’s AODA, businesses and non-profits with 50 or more employees must make their public websites meet WCAG 2.0 Level AA, with two exceptions (live captions and pre-recorded audio description). Smaller organisations aren’t covered by that rule, but an accessible site reaches more customers and is easier for everyone to use. We design and build to WCAG 2.2 AA as a baseline.

03Do clinics and professional firms need anything special on their websites?

Mainly care with personal information. Forms should collect only what you need, explain why, and store it securely: PIPEDA applies to private-sector organisations, and Ontario’s PHIPA applies to health information custodians. Clear service pages, practitioner or team profiles and online booking do the rest.

04Can we redesign our website without losing our search rankings?

Yes, if the move is planned. A redesign should keep what search engines already value: every existing URL mapped to its new page with a 301 redirect, titles, descriptions and structured data carried over, and Search Console checked after launch for errors.

05Will a new website help my business show up in Richmond Hill searches?

It is one part of it. Google ranks local results on relevance, distance and prominence, so your Google Business Profile, your reviews and your website all contribute. A fast site with clear service pages, accurate contact details and structured data gives the rest a strong foundation.
